Apologies all for the cross-post between the Cirencester Cupcakes blog and my personal blog Crumbs and Corkscrews. I hope that this is ok but I’ve big news that I need to share.
It’s with a sad face that I write this post, but we a knowing smile that I’m excited at what the future is about to hold!
There’s no easy way to say it but…. we’re moving!
Over the last 3 years, the focus of the bakery has shifted from retail sales to custom cake design, and I’ve decided to take the next step in growing my bespoke cake service and relocate. The lease on the Cirencester Cupcakes shop, in Swan Yard, Cirencester expires in February 2013 and I will continue to be there until Saturday 9th February. After that I will be based at our newly renovated home in South Cerney, near Cirencester.
I am really excited about this new chapter for Cirencester Cupcakes, and the relocation to South Cerney is a huge step for me, and will allow me to concentrate on my bespoke cake service. Of course I am going to be sad about moving, I have met some fabulous people over the last 3 years, made many new friends, created some amazing cakes, have been featured in magazines, on the TV and have won awards. But fear not, the move to my home will not mean that I am cutting back in anyway. I will continue to use only the finest and locally sourced ingredients, and our cakes and cupcakes will be bigger and better. It means I will be able to provide a more personal and improved service for my clients. I will be able to host consultation days for prospective clients in comfortable and homely surroundings. I will also be able to offer a delivery service in and around Cirencester and the Cotswolds, as well as order collection.
With all this going on, my Other half has redesigned my website, www.cirencestercupcakes.co.uk, and we will be relaunching this on February 18th, as well as the online ordering service, for cupcakes and cakes for all occasions, and even for those who just want to ensure they can get a cupcake fix every week.
And on a little personal note, you all know that we were married in October last year, and this move will hopefully mean that Ian and I can finally start a family in the future, without the worry of a shop premises that has to come first. But that’s hopefully sometime off, just yet!
So finally, I would I would like to take this opportunity to thank all our customers who have visited the Swan Yard shop, over the last 3 years. The order book is bursting for 2013 with lots of fabulous cakes, and I’m really looking forward to creating them for my existing and future clients. I would also like to thank my fabulous ladies, Claire and Brenda, who have been a constant support in the shop, as well as my family and friends. It really has been an absolute pleasure to have worked with you, you have made everything possible!
Our first outing as the new relaunched Cirencester Cupcakes will be on Sunday 17th February, when we are exhibiting at the Love and Lace Wedding Fayre in Sapperton, hosted by Lady Amy Bespoke Wedding Design.
So watch this space, as the blog will be back in action; you can also see what I’m up to away from work at my personal blog www.crumbsandcorkscrews.co.uk
With huge thanks
