All of the images on Crumbs and Corkscrews are shot with a Canon EOS 400D. I brought my husband it for his 30th birthday, and I often babysit it for him. When the Canon is not to hand, usually when I am out and about, I will grab quick shots with my iPhone 4.
After I visited Capturing Childhood for a photography workshop, I’ve been experimenting more with the manual function and different lenses. I am determined to improve my photography skills; slowly but surely I’m making progress.
I edit my photos in CS4; I am moving over to Lightroom for editing, albeit slowly. As often as I can, I prefer to light my photos with natural light. Our house has a fabulous southern aspect with plenty of light coming through. However in the winter months it can be a little bit challenging, but after the workshop, I’m starting to try out different light sources. I also use a Canon flash and a tripod.
All the photos on the site are taken by me, unless otherwise credited.
If you have any specific questions about my photos or equipment, please feel free to contact me, and bear with me as I continue experimenting and finding my ‘picture making’ feet!
In the meantime, I’ve been submitting those that I think aren’t too shabby to Foodgawker and I’ve had a couple accepted so far, go and check out my gallery.
