How has you week been? Keeping on track, moving more?
The solstice at the weekend heralded the official start to autumn, and with that has come the grey foggy drizzle that hung over the Cotswolds all morning. I admit I’ve been feeling a little downbeat compared to last week’s sunny mood. This week has been the week I vowed to get back in the gym and I have, but I’ve dragged my heels a bit. In an ideal world, I would blame the weather; in the truthful world the weather has been part of it although ultimately the reason lies only at my door, I’m the Queen of Procastination. I have been to the gym, I’ve been for a swim. Actually, back shortly…

See, actually I can do it if I put my mind to it. Once I find my exercising groove, I’m well and truly stuck in it, and I’ll swim for at least 30 minutes a day, and add the gym in there every other day. Alas, it was a little too late for this week; weigh-in tonight showed a stay the same. I was feeling it, it came as no surprise. There’s no excuses for a STS from this corner, I planned, I tracked, I even choose the healthy option when out for a meal, and did little exercise but it wasn’t to be. So next week I’m really working at it.
To keep my motivation up this week, there’s been plenty of Pinterest activity; outfits, recipes and words of wisdom. In particular, and I’m loving this as I could buy that Ted Baker jacket I’ve had my eye on if all goes to plan…
The aim is to pop £1 in a jar every time I head to the gym or workout; and I mean a proper workout, at least 30 minutes and getting a good sweat on. Just think if I exercise everyday for the next 12 weeks in the run up to December that would be £84. Okay, so it’s not quite the jacket, but it could be for a fab dress for Christmas!
So again there’s plenty for me to think about this week; weigh-in next week will see a good loss. I promise that next week will be a more upbeat, but these week’s are going to happen – a STS is not a gain and that’s how I’m going to look at it. And whilst I’m at it, these gems are about to be pinned to the noticeboard to kick my butt into shape.
Good luck to everyone weighing in this week!
Onwards and downwards
