Firstly apologies as it’s been a little while since I updated my WW Journey, it has been a little of an up and down month, filled with some fabulous highs and sad lows. But… I’ve still been here, plodding on with the ol’ weight watching. Ok, so my weight hasn’t dropped dramatically, but then it hasn’t gone through the roof either. It’s been steady, steady, with just a little 1lb gain since we last spoke.
Things have been a bit chaotic on the food front, with birthdays, anniversaries and celebrations, and despite everything I’ve kept on tracking. The gym visits had slipped but I’m back on that and feeling great for doing so.
I’ve also changed my meeting, I was going to an evening meeting and found with the cold, dark evenings people were not really staying, so the meeting was a little lack-lustre. However, I found the fabulous Claire on Facebook who now runs my old Wednesday morning meeting, and it’s great! The whole group is good fun, everyone stays and has a good catch up, and there are ladies who were there with me last year, so I feel so much more comfortable. As it’s a morning meeting, I have a plan of attack for the gym, and am weighed in my gym kit, so I’m ready to hit that treadmill once the meeting is over.
Foodwise, as you’ll have noticed I’ve been busy with bakes and treats recently and there’s not been a lot of savoury recipes, that’s mainly because Ian has been experimenting with fantastic low propoint dishes. Check out his new blog with a Weight Watchers section. I on the other hand did rustle up a pretty good spicy carrot soup that is only 1 propoint.
So anyway with only 33 days until Christmas, this week with my renewed gym exploits, I’ve been thinking about something to wear on the big day. I am definitely a comfy girl but I do like dressing up a little for Christmas dinner, then it’s straight into my new PJs for a cosy evening watching films and the all important Christmas comedy… bring on the new Open all Hours!
Indulging in my Pinterest addiction, I came across a couple of styles that I like and feel I’d be comfortable in, and still have room for turkey and the trimmings.
Anyway, with less than 5 weeks to go, and a beautiful new dress in mind, I really am back on track and going for it. Claire, my new Leader, has set me a little goal for the next couple of weeks, and believe me I know she’ll help me make it. I’ll also get little motivational messages during the week to just see how I am doing. If I’m honest, the lack-lustre meeting I was going to, had left me a little low in the esteem department and I now have a renewed vigour to keep going. The Ladies I’ve spoken to over the last week all say they have had times like this as well, so I’m glad I’m not on my own. But for me, I also know that having someone supporting you, who is full of the same enthusiasm, makes things that bit easier!
So there’s plenty for me to take on board this week, and although I’m shattered ,the gym is definitely making me feel ten times better, especially with these dark evenings!
Does anyone have any goals they’d like to reach for Christmas or an outfit planned they’d love to wear?
Good luck to everyone weighing in this week!
